What this site is

Probably Stolen sold hundreds of thousands of copies in its first days, and players started searching for prices, endings, and a walkthrough before wikis had time to settle. This site is one page per question: a walkthrough, beginner tips, items, recipes, achievements, endings, secrets, codes, requirements, and the release. The pages are static, so they can be indexed, and the numbers live in data files, so a patch does not require rewriting the whole essay.

The tone is a shop ledger, not a marketing splash. If a figure is not on the Steam store page or in a Steam news post, it is labeled. Unverified does not mean false. It means this guide will not bet your rent money on it. That policy is the product. A confident wrong price is worse than a blank cell.

What this site is not

It is not official strategy, not a place to file game bugs, and not affiliated with the developer or the publisher. Game support is the address on the Steam page, support@tinybuild.com, and the Discord the studio links from its news posts. It is not a cheat site. The codes page exists to say there are no official codes and to refuse third-party trainers. It does not host the game, the soundtrack, or screenshots from the store. Art on this site is type and layout, not the studio's images.

How a fact gets onto a page

  • Official: Steam app details or a Steam news post, with the date checked.
  • Cross-checked: two community write-ups agree, or a Steam achievement id matches those write-ups.
  • Unverified: one source, or the sources disagree. The row stays visible and tagged.
  • Left out: a half-copied table row, a tracker number we did not open, or a price with no sentence attached.

The guide text was last updated on 31 October 2026 against patch 1.0.0.6. Achievement percents are from Steam's global stats API that morning. Euro shelf price was checked the same day. Anything older than the next hotfix should be reread before you cite it.

How to edit it

Items, recipes, achievements, endings, scenarios, prices, and news are TypeScript files in `src/data`. Page prose is in `src/content/en`. English URLs have no language prefix. The proxy rewrites them to the `en` locale internally. Adding Simplified Chinese means adding `zh` to the locale list and to the proxy, then translating the content folder. The header already says that edition is not published.

Ads are off unless `NEXT_PUBLIC_ADS_ENABLED` is true, and even then the slots are empty placeholders with fixed heights. Analytics loads only when a GA4 id is set. The contact form appears only when an email is set. Those switches are documented in the README and in `.env.example`.

The operator of the deployed site is whoever controls the hosting project and the contact email. This repository does not invent a company name for them. If that email is empty, the contact page says the inbox is not set up yet, which is also a fact a reader can use: there is no hidden support desk behind the footer. Game criticism, refund requests, and hire inquiries for the studio will not reach the studio through this domain.

Who it is written for

The reader is someone who already owns the game or is about to, and wants a single page that answers one question without a video. The home page is the map. The walkthrough is the first run. The tables are for the moment a tooltip disagrees with a memory. Search covers the same text. Nothing here requires an account, and nothing asks you to install a companion app. If a page feels thin, that is usually because the studio has not published the number yet. The gap is marked instead of filled.

English is the only locale in this version. The game itself ships Simplified Chinese, and this site's routes can grow a `/zh` tree later without moving the English URLs. Until that translation exists, the language menu says so. Machine translation of unverified credit values would multiply the mistakes, so it waits. A translated page that still says unverified in the target language is the goal. A translated page that drops the tag is not.

Why the legal pages exist

A fan guide that might show ads later needs a privacy policy, terms, a contact path, and an about page that says who is responsible. Those pages are written for this site, not copied from the game. They do not create a business relationship with tinyBuild. If ads are enabled in the future, the privacy policy is the page that has to change first, before any ad script is added. No ad script ships in this version.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns Probably Stolen?

Questing Goose Studio developed it and tinyBuild publishes it. This guide does not own the game, the name, or the characters.

Can I copy this guide onto my site?

No. The terms say the guide text is not a pack of articles for other SEO sites to repost. Link here instead.

How do I fix a wrong item price?

Edit `src/data/items.ts` or use the contact page. Include the patch number and where you read the price in game.

Will there be a Chinese version?

The routes are ready for a `/zh` locale. The pages are not translated yet.

Do you show ads?

Not unless the site owner turns the ad flag on. The default build has no ad script and no analytics script.
