Release date
Probably Stolen launched on 28 October 2026 as a full 1.0, not Early Access. The developer posted the clock twice: 2:00 PM CET, 9:00 AM EDT, 6:00 AM PDT. Steam's store date matches the day. The demo was retired at launch. Demo saves are compatible, and both the pricing post and the launch post ask you to start a new game anyway.
Questing Goose Studio developed it. tinyBuild published it. The studio is in Montreal, according to the publisher's launch announcement. Support email on the Steam page is support@tinybuild.com. The legal line on the store reads developed by Questing Goose Studio and published by tinyBuild, 2026.
Price
On 26 October the developer posted expected base prices and said there would be a 10% discount at launch. The US, euro, and UK lines match the publisher announcement: $19.99, €19.99, £16.99. tinyBuild's launch note, carried by Games Press, said that 10% discount would be available for two weeks. This guide did not see the phrase 'two weeks' in the Steam posts themselves, so the duration is attributed to that press release. On 31 October the euro storefront still showed €19.99 cut to €17.99. Other regions may differ by the time you read this. The store page is the price.
A Supporter Edition bundles the game with the official soundtrack. The soundtrack is its own app, 5113870, base $4.99 on the US storefront checked the same day, discounted to $4.49. Composers listed on that page are A.L.I.S.O.N and M. Harvey Bee. Bundle discounts were announced for owners of Graveyard Keeper 2, ReStory, Potion Craft, Backpack Battles, and TCG Card Shop Simulator. One launch post writes Restory and also repeats Graveyard Keeper 2. The names in the 26 October pricing post are the cleaner list.

Genres on the store are Indie, RPG, Simulation, and Strategy. Categories include single-player, achievements, cloud saves, family sharing, adjustable text, custom volume, a mouse-only option, and play at your own pace. Content descriptors warn about drug and alcohol abuse and crimes including racketeering, bribery, and illegal trade, inside a science-fiction shop sim. Regional ratings in the store data include DEJUS 14, the German Steam rating 16, and IGRS 18. The page's own required-age field is 0, so the board ratings are the ones to read.
Launch sales, in the studio's words
Before opening they posted 500,000 wishlists, a playtest that started in August, and over 100,000 playtesters. The publisher added Next Fest numbers: nearly 40,000 concurrent in the demo and over 660,000 unique demo players, with demo reviews at 98%. Opening afternoon: 200,000 copies, 86,000+ concurrent within 90 minutes, 95% from 400+ reviews, number 2 on global top sellers. First 24 hours: 350,000+ copies, 320,000+ unique players, 112,000+ peak concurrent, global top 12. 30 October: 500,000 copies, 96% from nearly 3,000 reviews, still number 12 most played.
Third-party charts later showed a higher concurrent peak. This guide does not repeat a tracker figure it did not load as a primary source. The studio numbers above are the ones tied to a post you can open.
What the first patches changed for a new buyer
If you install today you are not playing the build that sold 200,000 copies in the first afternoon. Water machines are cheaper. Lou cannot be shot on a visit, and reporting her is no longer a Black Market penalty. The bell has a default key. Fullscreen on unusual monitors is less likely to trap the UI. The frame cap is VSync and on by default. Modding had a security pass on 31 October, so a Workshop item from launch night may refuse to load until its author updates it. None of that changes the release date or the base price. It does change which launch-day video is still accurate. Prefer a note dated after 1.0.0.5 for water, and after 1.0.0.6 for mods.
The studio also said free updates would add Junker, Organ Trader, and Street Food Vendor starts, expeditions, more appraisal items, and more story. Those are not in the 1.0 price. Buying the game now does not list a season pass in the posts we checked. The Supporter Edition is the soundtrack bundle, not a content roadmap. Treat future starts as free when they ship, and treat today's nine starts as the product you pay for.
