Probably Stolen Cheats

There is no official cheat code and no published money command. This page is the honest answer for cheats, cheat codes, and the console, plus the legitimate shortcuts the patches actually describe.

Cheat codes

The Steam store page for app 4348910 and the Steam news feed through patch 1.0.0.6 do not publish a cheat code, a credit password, or a launch option that grants money. Checked again on 2 November 2026. A page that promises 'all Probably Stolen cheat codes' in the first week is either repeating that absence or pointing at a third-party editor.

This guide does not host trainers, does not print their hotkeys, and does not explain how to attach them. They break when the executable changes. Patch 1.0.0.6 already changed the modding system for security, and some mods from launch night need an author update before they load.

The codes that do exist

The Revolution uses a codeword slip for Marketplace Requests. Patch 1.0.0.5 says the formatting of the Revolution's Codeword was improved. It does not list the words. The eight pairs players are searching for, tagged unverified, are on the codeword list. Birthday Party, Gathering, Garden, and Housewarming Gift are entries on that slip. They are not passwords you type on the title screen.

Console

No Steam news post checked for this guide adds a player console that spawns credits or items. On 29 October 2026 the developer pinned a Steam discussion that links the public modding guide on GitHub. Two community modding pages say that guide maps F8 to a debug log and F9 to a developer menu for people writing mods. This guide did not retrieve the README body on 2 November 2026, so those two keys stay unverified. They are described as tools for mod authors. They are not a credit cheat, and this page will not invent commands for them.

Separate Workshop and Nexus uploads advertise their own debug panels that can change money, items, rent, and events. Those are unofficial mods. This page does not rank them, does not print their shortcuts, and does not walk through installing a loader. If achievements matter, keep one save that never had that kind of mod. Nothing official says a mod disables achievements, and nothing official says it does not.

An exploit the studio already removed

Playtest patch 48.3.12, posted 7 August 2026, removed a Security reputation farm. A cleared inspection that came from showing contraband in the display case no longer grants Security reputation. The note says the farm was: display contraband, then hide it in the smuggler bay, and pass the inspection. That loop does not pay reputation on the builds that include the fix. The 1.0 notes do not bring it back.

Legitimate ways to make a run easier

  • Start as Apprentice. The 27 October news post calls it the generalist job and the best one for beginners. Rock Bottom is the start they called maximum difficulty.
  • Read the lease before you buy a machine. The store page's whole threat is rent.
  • Use the water price cuts. Moisture Farm is 350 credits, Water Filter is 25, and Water Purifier is 250, after patches 1.0.0.2 and 1.0.0.5. Dr. Jackson's markup on Normal is 15%, down from 25%.
  • Hide contraband in a smuggler bay that is actually placed, not thrown in the trash. Patch 1.0.0.1 stopped confiscation of a bay that was in the trash, and of a Mini Smuggler Bay kept behind the poster. Patch 1.0.0.5 stops a Smuggler Bay Mod from being thrown out with the trash overnight. Trash is not a hiding place.
  • Vending machines keep selling after you close. That is in the 1.0 launch post, not a code.
  • The bell key is B by default. Hold it to dismiss the customer. It does not print credits. The frame-rate cap is VSync and a comfort setting.
  • Reporting a face on the wanted poster pays that face's bounty when the report is right. A wrong report is a fine. That is the snitch economy, not a cheat.

If you searched for a money cheat

The supported route is still the shop. Apprentice, a gentler difficulty, inspected stock, and the post-hotfix water prices are the numbers the studio has actually published. The walkthrough and beginner tips are the long version. Save-file layouts are not documented here. The options menu keeps a history of days so you can reload an earlier day of the current run. That is a backup, not an editor.

Frequently asked questions

Are there cheat codes for Probably Stolen?

No official cheat code was in the Steam store listing or the news posts through patch 1.0.0.6, checked 2 November 2026.

Is there a console command for money?

Not in any official post this guide checked. Community pages describe F8 and F9 as modding tools in the developer's guide. Those keys are unverified here, and this page does not document third-party spawn commands.

What is the Probably Stolen codeword list?

An in-game Revolution slip for Marketplace Requests, not a cheat. The eight pairs are on the codeword list page and tagged unverified.

What exploit still works?

The display-case Security reputation farm was removed in playtest patch 48.3.12. Smuggler bays still hide goods when the container is where the game expects it. Trash does not.

What is the easiest legitimate way to get credits?

Play the economy: Apprentice, a gentle difficulty, inspected goods, and the post-launch water prices. There is no published money code.
