Lou in Probably Stolen

Lou is the criminal the launch post calls a mastermind. Two hotfixes changed how you deal with her. The bomb plot after that is community writing, and several pages tell it in the same shape.

What the patches say

The 1.0 launch post names Lou and says her storyline is in the game, alongside Eleanor, Officer Lun, and cadet Serpico. Patch 1.0.0.1: reporting Lou to Security no longer lowers Black Market reputation. Patch 1.0.0.2: Lou can no longer be shot during any of her visits. Those two lines are the official rules. Shooting her is not a strategy on a current build, and turning her in is no longer a Black Market penalty.

She is also on the wanted poster. Several guides put her bounty at 1,500 credits, the highest name on that list. Paying the bounty does not delete the rest of the plot.

The visit order community pages share

Several Lou pages describe the same sequence. Some of them share wording, so this is not five separate playtests. Treat the shape as cross-checked and the exact day gaps as unverified.

  1. She can first visit after you buy the Business Permit. Guides add triggers once that is true: under 75 credits, a rent or mortgage payment you cannot meet, or a wait on the order of fourteen days. Those triggers are unverified.
  2. The first visit is the wanted one. Reporting her pays the 1,500 bounty. She can still return.
  3. A later visit leaves a device guides call a fake bomb. Disarming it, or leaving it until night, does not end the run.
  4. She leaves Lou's Box of Toys. Keep the box and the marked contents until she collects them.
  5. She comes back disguised and later demands 1,500 credits in weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and cash.

The toy box

The pages agree on the failure: if the box is missing, or the original contents are gone, she plants a real bomb and the run ends. The endings table calls that scene Bombed (Lou's toys). Opening the box without taking the marked items is described as a different, survivable reaction. Ordinary copies of the same item do not replace a marked one.

If she bought nothing on the first visit, several pages say the box holds a Wire Cutter, a Plasma Cutter, a Tazer, and a Kitchen Knife. If she did buy from you, the box is said to hold those purchases plus Old Republic Orders. Put the box somewhere you will not sell, scrap, or unpack by mistake. Guides say she returns anything extra you added, as long as her own pieces are still there.

The 1,500 credit demand

After the box, she is described as returning in a Security disguise and asking for 1,500 credits. Weapons, ammunition, and medical supplies count. Cash covers the rest. One shared detail: if you choose 'That's All I Have' and the goods plus the cash you can hand over total 500 or more, she takes the remainder and leaves. Under 500, she plants a real bomb. The endings table calls that Bombed (Lou's debt). The 500 line is widely repeated and still not in a patch note, so the endings page keeps it unverified. Have the full 1,500 ready if you can. Do not discover the floor the hard way.

Guides that print a calendar use these earliest gaps, not guaranteed dates: about three days after the arrest she can return, four days after the bomb visit for the box, three days later to collect it, four days later for the disguise, and seven days after the demand is spoken before she collects. A page that shares this calendar may be copying one datamine. Use it as a reason to stay stocked, not as a clock.

After you pay

Pages that finish the sequence say the next day's news reports an assassination, and that the line is world news rather than a game over. There is no official post confirming that headline. The official instruction remains the hotfix pair: do not shoot her on a visit, and do not expect a Black Market penalty for the report after 1.0.0.1.

Frequently asked questions

Should you report Lou in Probably Stolen?

Reporting her pays the 1,500 bounty in community guides, and since patch 1.0.0.1 it does not lower Black Market reputation. Her story continues after the arrest.

Can you shoot Lou?

Not during her visits, as of patch 1.0.0.2.

What do you do with Lou's toy box?

Leave the box and its original contents intact until she collects it. Community pages say a missing box or a missing marked item is a real bomb and a game over.

How much does Lou demand?

1,500 credits, in weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and cash. Guides say 'That's All I Have' survives at 500 or more and bombs the shop under 500. That floor is unverified.

Is Lou the same person as Officer Lun?

No. Lou is the criminal. Officer Lun is Security. The launch post names both.
